The SME Registration Card

Free to apply on smemauritius.org. You'll need:

• Your BRN.
• Latest MRA-filed accounts (or projections if new).
• ID and proof of address.

The card is your ticket to grants, DBM windows, incubator places and public procurement set-asides.

Incubator programme

For early-stage SMEs. Typically offers:

• Subsidised workspace.
• Mentoring.
• Access to prototyping and testing facilities.

Apply with a short business plan.

Technical assistance and mentoring

SME Mauritius pairs SMEs with sector experts on operations, quality, marketing and compliance. This is one of the most under-used programmes and it's free to eligible SMEs.

Trade fair participation subsidies

Get a share of your local and international trade-fair costs subsidised — booth, travel, marketing materials. Terrific for exporters and craft businesses.

Export coaching and market intelligence

A structured programme for SMEs breaking into African and regional markets, often run jointly with the EDB.
